Position Summary
ELM Microgrid is looking to hire a Project Manager to help oversee the execution of projects for their CMG and MG series Battery Energy Storage System product lines. This applicant would be responsible for working with customers to understand their project needs while working with ELM Engineering and Manufacturing to design, build, test, and deliver working systems that meet their customer’s requirements and schedules. They will need to manage costs to ensure product profitability and schedules to meet customer’s deadlines.
This position requires an understanding of the power and renewable energy industry. This candidate must be able to talk technical aspects of the product with both their customers and engineering. An understanding of power system design including low and medium voltage is a plus. This applicant must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and perform a variety of complicated tasks.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily tasks of the project team
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, specifications, and deadlines
• Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet operational goals
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for issues as they arise
• Enforce safety policies and participate in compliance initiatives
• Support continuous improvement and lean practices
• Review and interpret technical or procedural documents as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and optimize performance
Qualifications
• Requires a bachelor's degree – Electrical or Systems Engineering Preferred
• Knowledge of stationary energy storage systems
• 5-10 years of relevant project management experience
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills and work well in a team environment
• Experience with direct customer communication
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus
• Must be a self-motivator to create and coordinate their own tasks and goals
• This job could require up to 20% travel
