Elm City Dental Care is looking for a friendly, motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team. Whether you're an experienced dental assistant or someone looking to start a rewarding career in dentistry, we'd love to hear from you.

We are a privately owned, patient-focused dental practice committed to providing exceptional care in a welcoming environment. You'll work alongside an experienced team using modern technology, including CEREC same-day crowns, digital radiography, and digital intraoral scanning. We believe in investing in our team and are happy to train the right candidate who has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms before patient appointments
  • Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable throughout their visit
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
  • Pass instruments and maintain an efficient clinical workflow
  • Take high-quality digital dental radiographs (training provided if needed)
  • Assist with digital impressions and intraoral scanning
  • Clean, sterilize, and organize instruments following OSHA and CDC infection control guidelines
  • Set up and break down operatories between patients
  • Update patient records and medical histories in our practice management software
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative instructions
  • Maintain inventory and keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Help create an exceptional patient experience from the moment patients arrive until they leave

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Friendly, dependable, and professional
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills and accept coaching
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Previous dental assisting experience
  • Dental Assisting Certificate or completion of a dental assisting program
  • Dental radiography certification (or ability to obtain one)
  • Experience working in healthcare, customer service, or another patient-facing role
  • Familiarity with dental software (Curve experience is a plus)

No prior dental experience? No problem. We're happy to train the right person who is eager to learn, works well with others, and is excited to build a long-term career in dentistry.

Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
