ELM Builders is a small, custom home builder serving the island of Maui. We take pride in high-quality craftsmanship and strong relationships with our clients and trade partners. We’re growing and looking for a Construction Superintendent to join our team to lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion.
In this pivotal role, you will coordinate all on-site activities, manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensure safety compliance, and uphold the highest standards of quality. Your leadership will drive project timelines, control budgets, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes efficiency and excellence across all phases of construction. What You'll Do
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless workflow and communication.
- Supervise site personnel, providing clear direction, mentorship, and performance feedback to maintain high productivity levels.
- Monitor project progress through detailed scheduling using Builder Trend management software; adjust plans proactively to meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to enforce quality control standards, review blueprints and schematics, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs, reviewing contracts, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Ensure safety standards are met by conducting safety meetings, maintaining OSHA compliance records, and using tools like ohmmeters for electrical inspections when necessary.

- At least 3 years of experience as a Foreman

Note: Prior Superintendent experience is not required, but is a plus.
