We are Ellsworth Foods, a 110-person, all-natural food company serving families throughout the southeast. We are looking for a positive, friendly person with extensive bookkeeping experience to join our team. Ellsworth Foods prides itself on having a positive, supportive culture. No grumps please. This is an in-office position, but you will work independently; we are not the micro-management type. You will handle basic accounting functions from reconciliations and month-end closing to AP, AR, and financial statement preparation. - Maintain financial accuracy in NetSuite
- Management of billing, AP, AR, and monthly reporting
- Make adjusting entries, as necessary
- Calculate weekly payroll
- Prepare quarterly filings with appropriate government agencies
- Create monthly financial reports and review with executive team
- Sales tax payment and reporting
- Maintain appropriate internal controls
- Prepare year-end tax package for company CPA
- Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
- Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and completeness
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable prioritizing and balancing multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to manage confidential business matters with a high-level of discretion
- Background check required
