Job Overview
The Assembly Technician is responsible for building, preparing, and inspecting new Kioti tractors, UTVs, and implements before delivery to customers. This role ensures every unit leaving the dealership meets manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and the performance expectations of our customers. The position combines mechanical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced service environment.
Key Responsabilities
- Assemble new Kioti tractors, loaders, backhoes, mowers, and attachments according to factory guidelines.
- Perform full PDI (Pre‑Delivery Inspection) on all incoming units, including fluid checks, torque specs, calibration, and functional testing.
- Install accessories and customer‑requested add‑ons such as tire ballast, third‑function kits, lighting, hydraulic remotes, and cab features.
- Inspect shipments for freight damage and document issues for warranty or freight claims.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area that aligns with dealership and OSHA standards.
- Assist service technicians with basic shop tasks when needed, including staging equipment, moving units, and preparing machines for delivery.
- Communicate clearly with the service manager regarding build timelines, parts needs, and any issues discovered during assembly.
- Update work orders accurately to reflect labor time, parts used, and completed tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment assembly, automotive repair, small engines, or related fields.
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and torque specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to operate tractors and equipment safely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in agricultural, construction, or power‑equipment dealerships.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, PTO components, and 3‑point hitch setups.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and accessory wiring.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full‑time position in a dealership service shop.
- Work involves indoor and outdoor tasks, occasional weather exposure, and regular equipment operation.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
