Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Senior Consultant to join our team and support the Internal Audit division of a Fortune 50 Financial Institution. In this individual contributor role, you will report directly to senior leaders within Internal Audit and serve as a critical operational hub — managing a cohort of leads across teams, coordinating the technology portfolio, and ensuring the division runs with clarity, structure, and momentum.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on building systems, standardizing practices, and communicating progress to leadership. You'll be the connective tissue between teams, technology stakeholders, and executives — keeping priorities aligned and work moving forward.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Smartsheet Administration & Training: Own and maintain a sophisticated Smartsheet environment across functional areas — including templates, live sheets, cross-sheet references, workflow automations, reports, and dashboards. Serve as the internal Smartsheet expert and provide hands-on training to team members to drive adoption and consistency.
- Technology Portfolio Management: Manage a cohort of leads across various teams to oversee and coordinate the division's technology portfolio. Ensure visibility into progress, dependencies, and delivery across the portfolio.
- Backlog Coordination & Prioritization: Partner with technology stakeholders to coordinate prioritization and management of the business backlog. Translate business needs into clear, actionable priorities and maintain alignment between teams.
- SOP Development & Maintenance: Establish, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and operational excellence across the division.
- Strategic Excel Analysis & Insights: Perform rapid-turnaround analysis for business reviews and leadership visibility. Build complex integrated formulas and custom analytical frameworks. Study data independently, apply intuition, and proactively surface insights under tight deadlines.
- Executive Presentations & Visual Storytelling: Create compelling executive presentations and decks efficiently and effectively. Translate complex data into visual narratives that drive leadership decisions.
- SharePoint & Confluence Administration: Manage project-level administration across SharePoint and Confluence, including access management, live updates, and no-code automation workflows between tools.
What We're Looking For:
- Smartsheet Expert: Comprehensive proficiency across the full platform — templates, live sheets, cross-sheet references, email and workflow automations, reports, and dashboards — with the ability to train others.
- Technology Portfolio Experience: Proven ability to manage and coordinate across multiple technology workstreams and stakeholder groups within a large, complex organization.
- Backlog & Prioritization Skills: Experience serving as a liaison between business and technology teams, governing intake, and managing prioritization processes.
- Excel Specialist: Advanced expertise with complex integrated formulas, independent analytical thinking, and rapid turnaround capabilities.
- Executive Communication: Strong presentation and storytelling skills with visual design capability and efficient deck development.
- SharePoint & Confluence Proficiency: Project administration experience including access management, rapid execution, and automation workflows.
- Seasoned Professional: Proven track record in large, complex organizations managing multiple priorities simultaneously — financial services or internal audit exposure strongly preferred.
- Strong Communicator: Effective across all levels, relationship builder, and proactive self-starter.
- If you are a structured, strategic operator who can manage complexity across teams and translate it into clarity for leadership — and you're ready to make a real impact inside one of the world's largest financial institutions — we encourage you to apply.
