Ellisville Rehab & Nursing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Supervisor to lead and oversee nursing staff during the evening shift. The RN Evening Supervisor ensures high-quality care is provided to residents, promotes a supportive work environment, and maintains compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
Oversee nursing staff during evening shifts, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
Ensure adequate staffing levels by monitoring attendance and arranging coverage when needed.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and address staff concerns in coordination with the Director of Nursing.
Resident Care
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care needs of residents.
Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely documentation of any changes.
Respond to emergencies, provide crisis management, and communicate critical updates to families and physicians.
Conduct rounds to ensure all residents are receiving appropriate care and treatment.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
Monitor infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols.
Communication & Coordination
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and services for residents.
Serve as the point of contact for evening shift staff, residents, families, and external providers.
Communicate significant events or issues to the on-call administrator or Director of Nursing.
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri, in good standing.
BLS/CPR certification (required).
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
