What are the responsibilities and job description for the 5-Axis CNC Milling Setup Specialist position at Ellison Technologies?
Shape precision from raw stock—one setup at a time
Location: Cuyahoga Falls, OH
Picture your day in a shop that has been trusted since 1945. You grab your traveler, review the print with full GD&T callouts, and head to one of our 3–5 axis vertical mills. You dial in fixtures, touch off tools, set work offsets, load or tweak the G-code, and make that first chip fly. On small-lot aerospace, defense, automotive, and commercial parts, you own the setup and the outcome—proving out a first article, measuring with micrometers and indicators, and adjusting feeds, speeds, and offsets to hold spec. By the afternoon, you might cross-train on another machine or lend a hand troubleshooting a tricky tool path. It’s hands-on, varied, and never dull.
We are a highly stable and rapidly growing operation with about 130 teammates and 42 CNC machines—and plans to add more soon. Most of our machinists choose to work 50–60 hours a week, and we offer both first and second shift with flexible hours.
What you’ll do
If you want a place to learn, cross-train, and build a long-term career on a motivated team, we’d love to hear from you.
