CPA firm looking for an accountant with public accounting experience to join our Cabot office. The candidate will assist individuals, small businesses, non-profits, and local governments with tax preparation, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and attestation engagements. This role requires strong oral and written communication skills and regular client interaction. Salary commensurate with experience. No overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns for individuals and organizations
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records
- Compile and analyze financial statements and reports
- Perform attestation engagements
- Prepare payroll and payroll tax reports
- Consult regularly with clients to address accounting and tax needs
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Utilize accounting software including QuickBooks, UltraTax, and Accounting CS
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of public accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license
- Proficiency in tax preparation, financial statement preparation, auditing, and bookkeeping
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
