Job Summary
Ellis Home & Garden at 2260 Bert Kouns in Shreveport, LA is now accepting applications for a Seasonal Greenhouse/Sales Associate. This position will help operate our store on a day-to-day basis. Ellis Home & Garden is a family-owned and operated business that offers flexible scheduling, a family-oriented atmosphere, and a great working environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
This position will combine working in our Greenhouse and being a Sales Associate. Greenhouse Associates are responsible for greeting customers, watering plants, taking care of the plants, unloading delivery trucks, helping customers with plant purchases, answering phone calls, and any other assigned duties. The Sales Associates work throughout the store; duties include helping customers with purchases, cleaning, stocking and any other assigned duties.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Some college preferred
- Lifting 50 /- pounds periodically
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions periodically
- Computer proficiency required
- Retail point of sale experience preferred
- Cash handling experience
- Plant knowledge preferred, but not required (we will train you!)
- Must be available Nights & Weekends
- Must be 18 years of age
Pay determined by experience: starting at $10.00 per hour
