Ellis Home & Garden on Airline Dr. in Bossier City, LA is now accepting applications for a FT Lead Front-End Cashier Manager. We are seeking an efficient Lead Front-End Cashier Manager to oversee daily checkout operations. You will manage frontline cashiers, optimize customer service, and ensure accurate financial balancing. Your goal is to minimize wait times while maintaining a friendly, professional store environment. Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise: train, and mentor a team of 8-10 front-end cashiers.
- Manage Cash: Oversee cash drawer assignments, vault drops, and daily reconciliation.
- Resolve Escalations: Handle customer complaints and returns.
- Optimize Workflow: Monitor front-end traffic to adjust staffing levels dynamically during peak hours.
- Enforce Policy: Ensure strict compliance with store policies and safety protocols.
- Track Performance: Conduct regular performance reviews and implement speed-of-service improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of retail supervisory or front-end management experience
- Proven proficiency in cash handling, POS systems and basic accounting skills
- Computer proficiency required
- Strong ability to lead and motivate team members, delegate tasks and resolve internal conflicts.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and upper management.
- Flexible availability required; including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to lift 30lbs. /-
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Some college preferred
- Retail point of sale experience preferred
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Must be 18 years of age
Pay starting $13.00 per hour; dependent upon experience
