Position Summary
We are seeking a visionary and commercially minded Vice President, Global Brand Marketing to lead the strategic evolution for Ellis Brooklyn. This role will be responsible for defining how our brand comes to life across every consumer touchpoint—from long-term brand building and product positioning to launch strategy, integrated campaigns, retail storytelling, and consumer engagement.
Reporting to the CEO-Founder, the Vice President will serve as the steward of our brand narrative while partnering cross-functionally with Product Development, Creative, Digital, Sales, Education, PR/Influencer, and Operations to ensure every product launch and campaign reflects our brand standards and drives measurable business growth.
Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Stewardship
- Define and evolve the global brand positioning, messaging architecture, and long-term marketing strategy.
- Ensure consistency of the brand across all consumer-facing channels, including digital, retail, social, education, experiential, and partnerships.
- Champion a luxury brand experience while maintaining relevance within contemporary beauty culture.
- Partner closely with the Creative team to ensure all campaigns and storytelling reinforce the brand's visual and verbal identity.
Product Marketing & Innovation
- With the CEO-Founder, lead the strategic development and commercialization of all product launches from concept through market introduction.
- Innovate and concept new ways to story-tell fragrance.
- With the CEO-Founder, lead product positioning, naming, claims strategy, messaging hierarchy, launch toolkits, and go-to-market plans.
- Partner with Product Development and CEO to identify whitespace opportunities and future innovation pipelines.
- Lead pricing, competitive analysis, and market positioning recommendations.
Integrated Marketing
- Develop integrated 360° marketing strategies spanning earned, owned, paid, retail, influencer, experiential, and e-commerce channels.
- Lead launch planning calendars and ensure cross-functional alignment across all departments.
- Lead the influencer, influencer activations, events, creative and social media divisions of the company.
- Build scalable marketing frameworks that connect brand storytelling with commercial performance.
- Identify new opportunities for cultural relevance, partnerships, collaborations, and consumer engagement.
Consumer Insights & Market Intelligence
- Build a deep understanding of the luxury beauty consumer through qualitative and quantitative research.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging consumer behaviors.
- Translate consumer insights into actionable brand and product strategies.
- Develop KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure brand health, campaign effectiveness, and launch performance.
Leadership
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing organization.
- Develop and manage a team of marketing professionals, fostering accountability, growth, and high performance.
- Foster collaboration across Creative, Product Development, Sales, Digital, PR/Influencer, and Executive Leadership.
- Establish clear processes for launch planning, integrated marketing execution, and cross-functional decision-making.
- Manage external agencies, strategic partners, and marketing budgets.
- Present in company's quarterly board meetings to the board.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive experience in brand marketing and product marketing within prestige or luxury beauty, skincare, wellness, or consumer lifestyle brands.
- Proven experience leading integrated marketing strategy and product commercialization for premium consumer brands.
- Deep understanding of prestige beauty consumer behavior and the evolving beauty landscape.
- Demonstrated success launching category-defining products and building enduring brand equity.
- Strong strategic thinker with exceptional storytelling and communication skills.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Highly collaborative leader who thrives in entrepreneurial, fast-paced environments.
- Ability to balance creative vision with commercial rigor and data-driven decision-making.

Preferred Experience
- Fragrance and/or beauty experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working closely with founders and executive leadership.
- Familiarity with ingredient-led marketing, clinical claims, and scientific storytelling.
- Global brand or international market experience is a plus.
Compensation
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $225,000 - $300,000, based on qualifications, experience, skill set, and other business-related factors. This position also features a bonus tied to performance and has the potential for company equity.
