C-Store Food Service Manager

Job Summary:

The Food Service Manager will manage the daily operation of the food service department. They are responsible for the deli profits, customer satisfaction, and controllable expenses such as labor and inventory level.

Responsibilities and duties (what you’ll do):

• Supervise and direct activities of all food service employees
• Prepare and serve food service orders.
• Maintain proper food rotation.
• Maintain and prepare food for open air cooler, donut case, and hot case.
• Operates within established inventory levels and salary budgets to achieve maximum profitability.
• Schedule staff and cover for any shifts.
• Ensure that there is excellent customer service.
• Attract new customers and retain current customers.
• Conduct onboarding; hiring, training, and development to ensure effective food service operations.
• Maintain safety and security of the store; promptly and accurately documenting issues.
• Follow all food safety regulations.
• Responsible for the safety of all items and people in the kitchen, along with other areas of the property when you see problems or concerns.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized as well as all equipment is working properly.
• Supports, upholds, and enforces all company policies, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Qualifications and skills (what we’re looking for):

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years’ food service management/supervisory experience.
• In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
