Elliott Group is looking for an organized, friendly, and dependable Service Specialist to join our team. This is an entry-level role designed to be the starting point for a long-term career within our agency. Our goal is to help Service Specialists build the insurance knowledge, client service skills, and technical foundation needed to grow into expanded service roles over time.

You don't need previous insurance experience — we'll teach you. You'll receive on-the-job training, learn the insurance industry, and develop the customer service, communication, and technical skills needed to succeed.

For team members who are learning quickly, performing well, and building strong insurance knowledge, the goal is to move into an expanded service role over time, often within the first 12–18 months.

What You'll Do

As a Service Specialist, you'll help clients and support our Account Managers by handling many of the day-to-day activities that keep our agency running smoothly.

This is not a sales position. Service Specialists focus on client service, communication, organization, and team support.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Answer incoming phone calls and greet clients professionally
• Process client payments and proof of insurance requests
• Update client information and insurance records
• Assist with renewals, billing questions, payment follow-up, and audit reminders
• Help prepare proposals and other client documents
• Gather basic information from clients to support Account Managers
• Support clients during the claims process
• Communicate with insurance companies, underwriters, adjusters, and internal team members
• Work closely with teammates to provide outstanding customer service

Every day is a little different, so this is a great role for someone who enjoys variety, learning new things, and helping people.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
• Previous customer service experience is a plus
• Insurance experience is helpful, but not required
• Kansas insurance license or willingness to obtain one after hire — we'll help you get there
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning industry-specific systems
• Must be able to complete required background checks
