Job Description
Responsible for the management of the warehouse and administrative functions, the key financial measurements of the branch, and for assuring that such activities are conducted in accordance with the policies and practices of the company and in a manner that achieves customer satisfaction and maximizes branch productivity and profitability. Also responsible for evaluating and identifying process improvements to enhance the overall operation of the branch.. Manages the movement of products into and out of inventory. Manage the personnel function of the store by hiring, training and evaluating employees according to Company policies and procedures in cooperation with the Human Resources Department.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent on the job experience as determined by the company. Previous experience in business or operations management including the application of business and management principles, preferably in the electrical distribution industry. Customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats. Leadership skills and the ability to plan and schedule the work of others. Proficiency in general personal computer application, as well as in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time. Ability to bend, climb, push, pull and maneuver at heights and in tight or small places. Ability to occasionally climb stairs and a ladder and step stool. Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 40 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 40 lbs. The ability to work in a constant state of alert and in a safe manner.
