Key Responsibilities
As the primary clinical touchpoint for our patients, your role is critical to the success of the tele-health model. Your duties will include:
- Advanced Pretesting: Conducting thorough preliminary testing to ensure the doctor has a complete clinical picture.
- Clinical Measurements: Performing Autorefractions and accurately checking Intraocular Pressure (IOP).
- Retinal & Anterior Imaging: Capturing high-quality retinal images and using a slit lamp to take clear frontal photos of the eye.
- Refraction: Performing manual or automated refractions to determine the patient's preliminary prescription.
- Administrative Excellence: Verifying vision insurance benefits and accurately billing exams in real-time.
Candidate Requirements

- Proven Experience: Significant prior experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting is highly preferred.
- Technically Savvy: Since this is a tele-optometry practice, you must be comfortable with digital interfaces and remote communication tools such as using an EHR system & using your phone.
