Position OverviewEllie Fund is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented summer Marketing & Communications Intern to support our mission-driven communications and fundraising efforts. This is a hands-on internship ideal for a strong writer and creative thinker who is passionate about nonprofit work and public impact. The intern will play a key role in content creation, marketing analysis, and patient and donor-focused communications.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with writing and editing blog posts, newsletters, and website content
- Design marketing and donor materials using Canva (social graphics, flyers, digital campaigns)
- Analyze social media performance and email marketing metrics
- Support awareness and fundraising campaigns through content development
- Conduct research to support communications strategy, grant narratives, and program messaging
- Assist with storytelling initiatives that highlight patient impact and organizational programs
- Collaborate with staff on marketing initiatives, campaigns, and outreach materials
- Maintain content calendars and assist with campaign planning as needed
- Strong writing and editing skills (required)
- Proficiency in Canva and basic graphic design principles (required)
- Experience with social media platforms and email marketing tools (preferred)
- Excellent research, organization, and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Interest in nonprofit communications, marketing, or public relations
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred)
- Hybrid internship with in-office presence required on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Flexible hours and additional remote work based on academic program requirements
