Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) – Part-Time Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Position Overview

Ellicott City Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to join our team for the 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM day shift. In this role, you will provide essential daily care and support to our residents, helping to ensure their comfort, safety, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning

• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff

• Take and record vital signs as assigned

• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents

• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment

• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and infection control guidelines

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification in the state of Maryland (required)

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Prior long-term care experience preferred, but not required

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Schedule

• Part-Time Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Includes every other weekend and rotating holidays
