What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Associate/Receptionist position at Ellenton Family Dental?
Looking for a personable and energetic person to join our team. Dental Experience Required.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice cordially, as you are the first person they see.
- Scheduling patient visits, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
- Assisting patients in completing information forms.
- Answering emails, pre-visit questions, and/or insurance estimates, including billing.
- Experience with Dentrix Ascend Preferred.
- Preparing patient's charts and daily schedules for the dental staff.
- Maintaining current patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.
- Coordinating follow-up appointments and delivering telephone/text reminders.
- Communicating with and understanding medical/dental insurance providers to determine if patients are obligated to make co-payments.
- Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.
Job Education, Skills, Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience working in a dental office.
- Sound knowledge of dental terminology.
- Familiarity with Open Dental preferred, but not required.
- Working knowledge of general administrative practices, including Microsoft.
- Strong verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
