Requirements
Required Job Skills:
- 2 years of qualified experience in a similar position
- Able to communicate verbally in an articulate manner.
- Ability to work various days and hours as business dictates.
- Must have a valid Food Handler Card
- Must be at least 18 years of age (or have valid work permit)
- Must have reliable transportation to work.
- Must be able to obtain proper uniform, including black non-slip shoes
- Must have proof to legally work in the United States
Position Summary:
The Pastry Assistant will work under both the Pastry Chef and the Executive Chef during service hours. They will be responsible for prep, production and plating on both the line, with the Garde Manger station, as well as in Pastry. This Associate ensures all products are prepped and cooked properly, tastes product, makes sure all products are properly stored at the end of each day, and maintains product par. This Associate has the knowledge of and maintains sanitary food handling practices according to SOPs set forth by the Restaurant and the Health Code. The Associate interacts with customers and employees in a positive manner by assisting them promptly, and approaching them in a hospitable, knowledgeable, and friendly way.
