Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a diverse range of baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies following established recipes and quality standards.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using various cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards throughout all stages of food preparation.
• Package baked items carefully for retail display or catering orders, ensuring freshness and presentation quality.
• Assist in food production processes for high-volume output while maintaining consistency in taste and appearance.
• Follow recipes accurately, manage ingredient quantities with basic math skills, and ensure adherence to food safety management practices at all times.

Skills

• Extensive experience in food preparation, baking, pastry preparation, and cake decorating.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and dough preparation techniques.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a high-volume production environment.
• Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and shaping of baked goods.
• Familiarity with food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
• Exceptional customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members.
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels effectively.
• Previous experience in the food industry or catering environment is highly desirable.
