What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher (DISH) / Service Workers position at Elkins on Priest Lake LLC?
Dishwasher Job Description:
Wash dishes and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Dress Code:
- Cook shirt, cook pants, apron, non-slip closed toed shoes.
- Be changed in your cook clothes and ready to work by the time you are scheduled.
Expectations:
- Run all dishes through dishwasher and put them away in correct place. Keep caught up with dishes. Know where all dishes, glassware and silverware belong.
- Be familiar with kitchen, dry-storage, walk-ins, freezers and restaurant in order to do your job more efficiently.
- Always be aware of kitchen needs. Pay attention to the cooks’ needs, restaurant needs and any other general activity.
- Maintain a clean dish pit area. This includes taking out the trash, picking up scraps and broken dishes in and around dish pit, wiping counters and putting all dishes in their proper place, keeping dishwasher clean (clean out food trap often throughout shift).
- Make sure you have a container of silverware soaking solution and to replace the soaking solution often.
- Do not wait till the last minute to wash commonly used things (silverware, cutting boards, blenders, etc.)
- Check with pantry cook and line cooks to see if they need help.
- Break down boxes throughout the day
- Empty garbage throughout the day Opening Duties:
- Set up dish pit
- Set up silverware soaking solution
- Fill soaking sink with soapy water
Closing Duties:
- Finish all remaining dishes. Do not leave any dishes for the next scheduled dishwasher.
- Take out trash, clean cans and put clean bags in
- Clean out entire dish side including walls
- Drain water out of dishwasher and clean out food trap
- Clean out all sinks and wipe down dishwasher
- Clean all floors
- Check with manager before clocking out
