Pay Rate: $17-$19 DOE
Job Summary:
Miller Creek Pub & Patio is seeking a dependable and hardworking Seasonal Cook to join our kitchen team for the busy summer season. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
This role involves preparing and cooking food items, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization, assisting with food prep, and supporting daily kitchen operations for restaurant service, golf events, weddings, and resort functions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, specifications, and presentation standards.
· Assist with food preparation including chopping, portioning, stocking, and organizing ingredients.
· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and prep areas
· Properly store, rotate, and label food products in accordance with food safety standards.
· Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
· Work efficiently during high-volume meal periods and special events.
· Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures.
· Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
· Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
· Follow all health department regulations, food safety procedures, and company policies.
· Assist with golf tournament, and special event food preparation as needed.
· Notify management of equipment issues, shortages, or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
· Must be at least 16 years old.
· Previous kitchen or cooking experience preferred but not required.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
· Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures.
· Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
· Food Handler Certification preferred but not required.
Work Schedule
· Seasonal (May–October; flexible spring/fall shoulder season opportunities).
· Shifts may include lunch, dinner, and event coverage.
· May include weekends, holidays, golf tournaments, and special events.
