ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE
MULTIPURPOSE-LANDFILL
DEPARTMENT: Landfill
HIRING RANGE: $22.45-$24.95/hour based on education and position related
experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP
HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hour work week)
LOCATION OF POSITION: Landfill, Elkhart
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Within County (please complete driving page on the application)
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for directing and spotting traffic, inspecting incoming loads, and driving and operating vehicles.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
§ High school graduate or equivalent
§ Valid driver's license
§ Must be at least 18 years of age
§ Mechanical and maintenance skills
§ Working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of local, state, and federal regulations, Indiana statutes, and standard policies and procedures governing landfill operations as set forth by the Indiana Department of Environment Management
