Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining all vehicles and heavy equipment and responding to mechanical needs in the field.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possession of and ability to maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements and demonstrated safe driving record
- Respond to after-hours mechanical problems, per on call schedule
- Practical knowledge of assigned Department equipment and vehicles, with ability to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose problems, and repair equipment as needed
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and/or power tools and variety of equipment in performance of duties
- Ability to do light snow removal
- Ability to work alone with minimum supervision, with others in a team environment, work rapidly for long periods and on several tasks at a time, often under time pressure
- Pre-employment background check (criminal and credit), and drug screen
