Scientist - Key Intermediates
We are seeking a curious, driven, and detail-oriented Scientist working with Key Intermediates to support research and development initiatives that shape the future of our products and technologies. In this role, you'll execute experiments, analyze data, and collaborate across functions to help solve complex technical challenges in a safety-focused and innovative environment.
DESCRIPTION
The Scientist supports research and development activities by executing defined experimental plans and generating reliable technical data. This role contributes to product development, process improvement, and material evaluation under the guidance of senior scientists or technical leads. The position collaborates with R&T, quality, and operations teams to support project goals and ensure alignment with business objectives. The Scientist is expected to build foundational technical expertise while demonstrating adherence to safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture. Primary activities are laboratory based but may also include pilot scale operations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree with pertinent academic or related experience or equivalent work experience at least 6 years chemical manufacturing and laboratory testing
- Experience with silicone technologies or silicone polymerization chemistry
- Experience with Chemical Hygiene Plans and relate laboratory safety activities
- Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and materials testing
- Exposure to Design of Experiment or statistical analysis tools
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies: 5s and/or Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma a plus
- Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and operate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a diverse team environment.
- Some domestic or international travel may be required (<10%)
