Quality Technician 2nd or 3rd Shift

Qualification: A Quality Tech must be a proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite (at least Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and have the ability to comprehend engineering drawings and specifications, as well as be comfortable using a variety of measuring equipment such as calipers, optical comparators and inclinometers. They also must be willing to be responsible for overseeing a variety of projects and scenarios related to quality and continuous improvement. Discipline and organization will be key traits to stay on task and motivated.. Math skills and problem solving thought processes are critical.

Responsibilities: 8 hour days, 5 days a week. Monday through Friday

· manage customer complaints for their business unit This involves coordinating with a variety of other departments to determine root-cause and develop effective corrective actions for each complaint.

· manage customer return parts and tracking associated costs

· responsible for learning detail of the production and quality processes to gain a good comprehension of them both

· Performing PPAP measurements and preparing all necessary documentation according to all applicable customer and internal specifications

· Conducting product audits for products across the business unit and participating in internal audits for each department

· Work with every department on continuous improvement projects concerning Quality

· Documentation management and creation is required to conform to ISO/TS standards.

· Active work on the production floor will be required to inspect parts, sort parts, and handle a variety of quality related issues.
