Full Time Cook

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full Time Cook to join our Childcare Center Team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals using CACFP guidelines. Paid training will be required for this position and can be finished within 60 days of starting. This position encourages safety and hygiene in the kitchen and is a full-time, year-round position. You will be in charge of serving around 100 children breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. This position offers Child Care Assistance.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to presentation, flavor, and quality.
• Creative menu planning
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Handle food preparation tasks efficiently
• Ensuring the timely delivery of hot and cold dishes.
• Monitor inventory levels and make grocery lists
• Follow all food handling guidelines and safety protocols to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
• Keeping to a provided food serving schedule

Skills

• Knowledge or willingness to acquire knowledge about CACFP and menu planning.
• Proven expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and food industry best practices.
• Strong knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Demonstrated ability in sanitizing procedures
• Food Allergy Awareness
• Familiarity with food safety management systems
• ServSafe or willing to obtain ServSafe certification
