Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff during weekend shifts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure optimal patient care delivery
- Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate health status accurately
- Manage medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, medication administration, and treatment plans for diverse patient populations
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed and aseptic techniques are maintained
- Facilitate team management by fostering a collaborative work environment focused on excellent patient care
Requirements:
- Valid RN license with current state licensure to practice nursing in the designated region
- Proven supervisory or nurse management experience in settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care agencies
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Excellent communication skills for working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; experience in family planning or occupational health is a plus
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience that fosters teamwork while maintaining compliance with NCQA standards and healthcare regulations
