The Admissions Department at Elizabethtown College is currently seeking an Admissions Counselor to join the highly talented and productive team. A results-oriented, full-time position, based on campus, will travel during the traditional fall and spring recruitment seasons to recruit students for Elizabethtown College.
This position is responsible for all aspects of the admissions and recruitment cycle, including but not limited to the following: travel to high schools and college fairs; communicating with school counselors, secondary school teachers, prospective students, and parents; and reviewing and evaluating applications for admissions decisions. This position will be held accountable for recruitment volume and is subject to review throughout the year.

Job Duties
- Travel and work flexible hours to recruit high school students through presentations at high schools, fairs, and collaborative work with partners, schools or community groups and other off-campus events as needed.
- Acquire an in-depth knowledge of the college in addition to admissions processes and best recruitment practices.
- Correspondence and direct interaction (phone, email, in-person) with constituencies required including: prospective and current students, families, guidance counselors, community-based organizations, and other professionals.
- Participate in high school visits and college fairs, which include full travel during the fall semester and some travel in the spring semester.
- Territory Management within designated geographic areas; territory analysis, decision making, and planning; maintain existing and foster new relationships; develop a strategy for recruitment. Report on travel productivity and expenses, and meet travel goals.
- Review and evaluate applications for admissions decisions.
- Develops and maintains an overall knowledge of each program of study so that questions may be discussed with prospective students.
- Maintain accurate visit and recruiting records for all high schools in an assigned territory
- Assisting prospective students and families throughout the college enrollment process by phone, email, social networking, and traditional mail is required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, or other related field; and 1-3 years of Admissions or Admissions Recruitment experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
This position requires a valid driver’s license for business travel purposes (Individual must have a U.S. driver’s license for at least three years).
