What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist, Per Diem position at Elizabeth Seton Residence?
We are an 84-bed long term care and short term rehab facility in Wellesley, MA. We are seeking a PER DIEM Occupational Therapist to join our rehab team.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and progress.
- Provide direct patient care through therapeutic activities that enhance daily living skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, physical therapists and nursing staff, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on techniques to improve functional abilities at home and in the community.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Skills
- Must have valid OT license in MA
- Experience in clinic settings or skilled nursing facilities is preferred.
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to work compassionately with geriatric population.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to adapt treatment plans based on individual patient needs and progress.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively.
- Experience using PCC and Nethealth is preferred but not required.
- Flexibility for weekday and weekend work
Pay: From $55.00 per hour
