Key Responsibilities of RN:

• Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough patient assessments as an RN and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Specimen Collection & Processing: Perform specimen collection and ensure proper handling and documentation, adhering to all clinical protocols.
• Medical Documentation: Accurately document patient information and medical histories as an RN, using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Athenahealth, while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Triage & Prioritization: As an RN, provide triage services to assess and prioritize patient needs in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Treatment Administration: Administer treatments and medications as prescribed, including specialized procedures such as gastric lavage when needed, under the responsibility of the RN.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver integrated care, particularly in internal medicine and behavioral health contexts, where your role as an RN is crucial.
• Patient & Family Education: As an RN, educate patients and their families about health management, preventive measures, and post-care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Previous experience as an RN in outpatient care, internal medicine, or behavioral health is preferred
• Familiarity with specimen collection techniques and processing
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and its clinical applications
• Experience with triage processes and patient management as an RN is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
