Job Summary
Elizabeth City GMC is looking for a dependable and motivated individual to join our Parts Department as a Parts Warehouse / Shipping & Receiving Associate.
This is a full-time, entry-level position with an opportunity to learn the automotive parts business and advance into a Parts Counter position. Previous automotive parts experience is helpful, but not required. We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, has a positive attitude, and is willing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process daily stock orders
- Check incoming parts and stock them in the proper bin locations
- Maintain an organized parts inventory and warehouse
- Deliver parts to local repair shops and other dealerships
- Deliver parts to our dealership's Body Shop
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties
- Keep the parts warehouse clean and organized
- Assist other Parts Department employees as needed
- Handle automotive parts carefully and accurately
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Dependable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical warehouse duties, including lifting and moving automotive parts
- Automotive or parts experience is a plus, but not required
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time – 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday
- 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Starting at $15.00 per hour
Opportunity for Advancement
This position offers room to grow within our Parts Department. The goal is for the right person to learn our parts operation and eventually have the opportunity to advance into a Parts Counter position.
