Job Summary
The general manager is a passionate individual who seeks to help members and guests improve their lives through health and fitness. This person is responsible for maintaining a clean club to enhance the member experience, for being the very definition of customer service and for selling memberships and training services. The club manager also leads part time staff to work as a cohesive unit. This role requires a considerable amount of responsibility, self-motivation, leadership, collaboration, communication and the ability to positively influence others. Neat freaks encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day operations – club managers are responsible for daily club operational tasks such as running reports to analyze KPIs and setting future goals, using our club management software and billing provider to help with member management and engagement, following up on leads, posting to local social media accounts and maintaining the club spotlessly clean, in peak working order and inviting to anyone who enters.
- Sales – a large part of the club manager role is centered around selling memberships and training packages. Managers must convert leads to members through daily follow-ups, relationship building, ability to empathize and follow through. A background in fitness and personal training isn’t required but is greatly valued. The ability to speak to our training program and how to leverage our technology (Anytime Fitness App, body scanner, etc.) to support the growth of the training department is a must.
- Brand promotion – when you love your gym others will too! The club manager establishes relationships with businesses and influencers in the community to promote the brand through business-to-business marketing. The club manager helps coordinate and execute engagement campaigns, national marketing campaigns and community outreach efforts using assets and operations created by the Anytime Fitness team.
- Team building – leading a team and driving results through motivation and fun is a key part of being a club manager. The club manager inspires team members by fostering a trusting and positive environment while driving the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that drive success.
- Maintaining the culture – club managers love creating an environment that inspires members and guests to share their positive experiences with friends and family. They deliver top-notch customer service and aim to improve the lives of each person they meet.
Job Requirements
Experience in the fitness industry is required. Great communication and soft skills are required. Mature and responsible adults are encouraged to reply. You must display customer service skills every moment of your workday. A good candidate is

- Available to work daytime shift hours and be flexible about occasional weekend hours
