We are seeking a skilled and motivated Deck Builder to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing durable decks that enhance outdoor living spaces. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise construction of decks according to project plans
- Frame decks using carpentry techniques, including woodworking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing
- Install metal building components, rebar reinforcement, and concrete forms as needed for supporting structures
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, and assemble materials with accuracy
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as pouring, smoothing, and sealing to create solid foundation surfaces
- Erect structural elements using welding techniques when required for metal components
- Manage on-site activities efficiently by coordinating with team members and overseeing safety compliance during heavy lifting and material handling
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control, adherence to schematics, and compliance with building codes
- Assist with restoration or remodeling projects involving siding, stucco, roofing, or masonry work as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on deck building or related trades such as carpentry or masonry
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to deck construction projects
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery safely and effectively
- Familiarity with metal building erection, rebar installation, concrete forming, and finishing techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during framing or siding installation
- Experience working with construction management teams to coordinate project timelines and resources
- Knowledge of safety standards related to construction sites including OSHA regulations or equivalent certifications is preferred
