Job Overview
Elite Welder Training & Testing is seeking a part-time Welding Instructor with strong industrial pipe welding experience. With the ability to teach, guide, and motivate students in a hands-on training environment.
We are looking for someone who not only knows how to weld, but also knows how to communicate, demonstrate, and help students improve through direct instruction and real-world experience.
Duties
- Supervise and mentor students during practical welding exercises in shop environments, ensuring adherence to OSHA safety standards.
- Assess student progress through tests, projects, and practical demonstrations; provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing safety procedures related to welding equipment and mechanical knowledge.
- Move students to next step of the training program and guide them through each step.
- General shop clean up at end of shift
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years proven pipe welding experience
- Must be able to provide specific job locations and employers
- Must be able to pass weld tests in accordance with ASME Section IX
- SMAW Test: 2” XXH 6010/7018 6G
- GTAW Test: 2” Sch. 80 ER70S 6G
- Must know how to walk the cup
- GMAW/FCAW experience is a plus
- Machinist skills are a plus (industrial lathe)
- Comfortable with hands-on teaching and working directly with students
- Proactive mindset
- Punctuality is a must
