Job Summary
Event Staff work with full-time permanent Elite Tournaments staff to execute onsite tournament operations. Event Staff may fill various roles during a tournament including, but not limited to, site coordinator, field marshal, score keeper, merchandise sales, setup/breakdown, parking management, and other duties. Event Staff will be the front line of customer service assisting players, coaches, and spectators during the tournament.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site event management during tournaments and events
- Monitor game activity on the field, report scores, and identify and report medical needs of attendees
- Assist with field and venue setup and cleanup
- Provide quality customer service to attendees
- Interact with the public and provide a safe environment for attendees
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Requirements
- Knowledge about youth sports, particularly soccer and lacrosse
- Superior oral and written communications skills and public speaking ability
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of GotSport software system
- Knowledge of Square Point of Sale System or similar
- Knowledge of rules for various sports, particularly soccer and lacrosse
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work weekends and irregular hours as needed
- Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check
