Quality Inspector

Introduction:

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor, is seeking a Quality Inspector to work 100% onsite at their facility in Manassas, VA. This is a 3-month contract position that could potentially be extended. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment for compliance to specified requirements and performing real-time defect evaluation. They will also operate and monitor automated test equipment and prepare QA documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment for compliance to specified requirements
• Perform real-time defect evaluation
• Operate and monitor automated test equipment
• Prepare QA documentation
• Verify corrective action implementation and rework

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Must be willing to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
• High School diploma plus a minimum of 6 years of directly related experience is required
• Active IPC 610 Certification
• Distinct knowledge of ESD control, workmanship standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and statistics and process control techniques
• Skilled in the set-up of basic electronic test configurations or mechanical test configurations and basic mechanical measurement tools
• Strong communication skills to interface with coworkers, internal customers, and potentially suppliers

Preferred Skills:

• Associates degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering plus 4 years of related experience
• J-STD_001, 002, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required

Salary : $35 - $40
