What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operating Room Orthopedic Circulating Nurse per diem position at Elite Surgical Center/Wayne Surgical Center, LLC?
We are looking for an experienced RN Circulator to care for our patients in our State of the Art Same Day Surgery Center which specializes in Orthopedics. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional with leadership skills that will be able to circulate as well as organizing our one room center. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high-quality nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
- Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and scrub technicians
- Assist surgeons during operations
- Notify sales representatives on equipment needed and procedures scheduled.
- Assist with quality control projects
Skills
- Proven experience as a Circulating OR Nurse
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of emergency care
- Orthopedic experience a must
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures and willingness to follow them at all times
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Valid nursing license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
