Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented *Accounting Supervisor* to oversee our organization’s accounting operations. This leadership role involves managing another accounting employee, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, with strong computer knowledge of in quick books,/connections to other accounting programs ach, bill payments, invoicing, collections, summaries for customers etc. This position offers an opportunity to redevelop process's that will save the company time and money.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial tasks.
- Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
- Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Maintain expertise in technical accounting areas,
- Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks, or other financial management tools for accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within finance by implementing best practices in financial report writing and interpretation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Proven experience in billing, payments, collections, account reconciliation, and process improvement.
- Proficiency in financial software; advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience mentoring or supervising accounting employees
- Excellent analytical skills
- Knowledge of financial management principles. This role is integral to maintaining our organization's financial health by overseeing all accounting functions with meticulous attention to accuracy and compliance, while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Pay: $60,161.69 - $62,474.29 per year
