Essential Responsibilities
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide high-quality patient care and complete timely documentation
- Supervise and direct therapy technicians as appropriate
- Maintain productivity and scheduling expectations
- Ensure compliance with billing, documentation, and regulatory standards
- Educate patients and provide home exercise programs using practice-supported technology
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding patient progress
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral level degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university required
- Minimum two years’ experience in a physician office or orthopedic setting (new graduates must demonstrate superior ability to perform through a clinical affiliation or by other comparable means)
- Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Tennessee
- Extensive training in orthopedic care and manual therapy preferred
- Management experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge in exercise physiology, biomechanics and exercise prescription
- Ability to manage treatment of multiple patients, administer appropriate modalities and supervise technicians
- Working knowledge of billing issues, CPT codes and basic knowledge of insurance related issues
- Comfortable effectively using MS office programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
- Great verbal and written communication
- Neat and professional appearance
- Able to maintain company legal and professional confidentiality requirements across employees, patients, and clients
