Duties
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and perform regular surveillance checks to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct thorough background checks on visitors, contractors, and employees to verify identities and ensure safety compliance.
- Respond promptly to incidents by managing conflicts professionally and utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for security equipment or supplies.
- Operate security tools such as Taser, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and CPR devices to provide first aid in emergencies.
- Enforce loss prevention policies by identifying theft or vandalism and reporting incidents accurately.
- Manage access control by verifying credentials, performing security screenings, and maintaining detailed logs of all entries and exits.
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility, checking fences, gates, CCTV equipment, and other security infrastructure for integrity and functionality.
Experience
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with a strong understanding of surveillance techniques.
- Certification or training in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and manual handling is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems (closed-circuit television) and loss prevention strategies.
- Ability to perform background checks accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience managing conflict situations with professionalism and tact in high-pressure environments.
- Knowledge of security protocols including the use of Taser devices and other non-lethal defense tools is advantageous.
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to perform heavy lifting when required and stand or walk for extended periods.
