Summary:

We are seeking a confident, personable, and results-driven Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team at Elite Roofing.

This role will be responsible for managing the initial recruiting process for a variety of positions throughout the company, with a primary focus on Roofing Repair Technicians and Sales Representatives. The Recruiter will review incoming applicants, evaluate resumes and qualifications, conduct initial phone interviews, and determine whether candidates have the skills, personality, and overall fit to move forward in our hiring process.

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable talking to anyone, can confidently represent and sell the Elite Roofing opportunity to prospective employees, has strong judgment, and understands how to identify people who will succeed in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

This is not simply an administrative recruiting position. The Recruiter will be responsible for making informed decisions about candidates and serving as the first point of contact between Elite Roofing and potential new team members.

Responsibilities:

• Review and screen incoming applications and resumes for open positions throughout Elite Roofing.
• Evaluate applicants based on experience, qualifications, work history, and the specific requirements of each position.
• Primarily recruit and screen candidates for Roofing Repair Technician and Sales Representative positions.
• Conduct initial phone interviews with qualified applicants.
• Follow the company-provided recruiting questionnaire and interview process.
• Ask appropriate follow-up questions and engage candidates in meaningful conversations to determine overall fit.
• Take detailed and organized notes during applicant calls and interviews.
• Evaluate candidates based on experience, communication skills, attitude, professionalism, work ethic, and overall fit with Elite Roofing.
• Use sound judgment to determine which candidates should move forward and which candidates should be declined.
• Confidently explain the Elite Roofing opportunity, company culture, expectations, and potential to prospective employees.
• Effectively "sell" Elite Roofing to strong candidates and create excitement around joining the company.
• Serve as a professional and positive first impression of Elite Roofing throughout the recruiting process.
• Coordinate qualified candidates with the appropriate Hiring Manager for the next stage of the interview process.
• Schedule follow-up calls or interviews between qualified candidates and Hiring Managers.
• Maintain organized records of applicants, interview notes, candidate status, and recruiting activity.
• Communicate professionally and promptly with applicants throughout the recruiting process.
• Help continuously improve the recruiting and screening process based on hiring results and feedback from management.
• Recruit for additional company positions as openings arise.

Candidate Evaluation:

The Recruiter will be expected to develop a strong understanding of what Elite Roofing looks for in successful employees and use that knowledge when evaluating candidates.

Ultimately, the Recruiter will have the responsibility and authority to determine whether a candidate is qualified enough to be presented to the Hiring Manager.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in recruiting, sales, customer service, management, or a similar people-focused position.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Extremely comfortable speaking with people over the phone.
• Confident, personable, and professional communication style.
• Strong judgment and the ability to make independent decisions.
• Ability to quickly evaluate people and determine whether they may be a strong fit for a position.
• Strong listening and interviewing skills.
• Ability to follow a structured questionnaire while still having a natural conversation with candidates.
• Strong organizational and note-taking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple applicants and open positions simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Ability to confidently represent and sell Elite Roofing to prospective employees.
• Strong customer service mentality and the ability to communicate effectively with virtually anyone.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling applicant information.
• Recruiting experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
• Roofing, construction, home improvement, or sales industry experience is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are a MAJOR plus but not mandatory.

Compensation:

• $50,000 annual salary
• Performance-based recruiting incentives
• Additional incentive opportunities based on successful recruitment and hiring of Sales Representatives who go on to generate business for Elite Roofing.
• Opportunities for increased compensation based on recruiting performance and results.
