Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, and HVAC design plans to ensure proper installation and service procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Conduct plumbing and electrical work related to HVAC systems as needed.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Repair or replace components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and controls.
- Weld or perform equipment repairs requiring mechanical skills or welding expertise.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all service activities and maintain a clean work environment.
- Document service activities accurately for customer records and warranty purposes.
- Assist in property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar field service role with construction or appliance repair background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration systems, and HVAC/R systems.
- Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles.
- Experience with plumbing, electrical wiring, welding, and equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of field service procedures including troubleshooting complex systems on-site.
- Proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices used in equipment repair.
- Valid
driver’s license for transportation between job sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
