Sales Manager - Mountain West

Client is a global integrated HPMC Capsules manufacturing company, with a presence in over 100 countries. They deliver end-to-end solutions across the Nutraceutical value chain, from empty capsules and processing to packaging. Their capabilities include granulation, coating, filling, tabletting, packaging, and track-and-trace systems.
Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and expand the customer base by identifying new prospects and driving business development across the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute territory sales plans and annual budgets to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Manage and grow key accounts, increasing share of wallet while securing new business with supplement CDMOs and brand manufacturers.
- Deliver accurate forecasts, quarterly projections, and account plans based on market trends and performance data.
- Monitor sales performance, pricing, and collections in line with credit policies, partnering with internal teams as needed.
- Identify new product opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally to develop customized solutions and drive commercialization.
- Build strong customer relationships, handle complaints, and coordinate with technical teams for timely issue resolution.
- Conduct market research to track competitors, industry trends, and provide insights to strengthen market presence.
- Ensure accurate CRM updates, maintain documentation, and prepare MIS reports to track performance and drive action plans.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.) required; MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in B2B sales with strong relationships in the Health & Nutrition sector (Ingredients/Capsules).
- Territory Experience (must-have): Proven track record selling nutraceutical ingredients in the U.S Mount West region.
- Core Sales Skills: Planning, forecasting, negotiation, sales process management, pipeline hygiene, and market mapping.
- Interpersonal: Strong relationship builder; self-starter who performs under pressure and works
- independently.
- Travel: ~50% within the U.S.
