Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and coaching, with the ability to engage and inspire students in various physical activities. This role involves leading classes in sports, martial arts, and physical education while ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for all participants.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students in various physical activities including swimming, karate, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, judo, and other sports.
- Provide instruction and guidance to students of all skill levels, fostering their development in physical fitness and sportsmanship.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and managing behavior effectively during classes.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance program offerings and create engaging activities for students.
- Organize events or competitions that promote student participation and teamwork.
- Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure they are safe and ready for use.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching or coaching sports, martial arts, or physical education.
- Lifeguard experience is a plus for swimming instruction roles.
- Strong skills in behavior management to effectively handle diverse classroom dynamics.
- Ability to engage with students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of health club or gym operations is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
