Location: In-person (Freeport, FL)

Schedule: In-person, Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–12:30 PM (3 to 5-hour shifts); occasional Fridays, evenings, or weekends with advance notice.

Pay: $18.00–$24.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description

Elite Performance Prep Academy is seeking passionate, engaging, and student-centered Academic Coaches to join our growing microschool community. This position is ideal for educators who want to make a meaningful impact by building strong relationships with students while providing personalized instruction in a small-group learning environment.

This role requires someone who is creative, adaptable, and committed to helping every student reach their full potential through individualized instruction, hands-on learning, and meaningful mentorship.

Primary Responsibilities

• Teach core academic subjects, including Math, Language Arts, Science, History, and elective courses.
• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction that accommodates a variety of learning styles.
• Develop and implement individualized learning plans based on student needs and goals.
• Differentiate instruction using academic data and student progress.
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and growth-oriented classroom culture.
• Build meaningful relationships that motivate students academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely interventions and constructive feedback.
• Support students in developing academic, organizational, leadership, and life skills.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and achievements.
• Collaborate with fellow Academic Coaches and school leadership to support student success.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, professional development, and family engagement events.
• Serve as a positive mentor and role model while reinforcing Elite Performance Prep Academy's mission and core values.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check.
• Experience working with children in an educational, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth development setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Genuine passion for helping students grow academically, socially, and personally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Previous classroom teaching, tutoring, or homeschool experience.
• Experience in microschool, private school, charter school, or alternative education settings.
• Knowledge of differentiated instruction and personalized learning.
• Experience supporting student-athletes or students with diverse learning needs.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
