You will assist with a variety of tasks that keep landscapes healthy, attractive, and safe, contributing to the overall aesthetic and usability of residential, commercial, or public properties. Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance duties including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to ensure pristine outdoor spaces.
- Take over the mowing crew as yours, become a leader that people can work with easily.
- Know how to use a commercial lawn mower, know how to mow stripes, and know how to problem solve on the go.
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools like trimmers and blowers efficiently and safely.
- Assist with planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios or walkways.
- Conduct general lawn care tasks including fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to promote healthy growth.
- Help with equipment maintenance and safety checks on machinery like excavators or other construction tools to ensure optimal performance.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred; training will be provided for motivated learners.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating and maintaining landscape equipment.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as mowers and excavators enhances efficiency on the job.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant care and landscape design is a plus, as well as hardscape install knowledge
- Ability to follow safety protocols during construction activities or when handling heavy equipment like excavators or tree trimmers.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions is essential.
