Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to provide safe and timely transportation services for patients and clients. This role involves driving loading patients that are in wheelchairs as well as knowing how to do gurney to assist individuals in reaching medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Responsibilitie:
knowing how to safely and properly tie down a wheelchair,how to operate a gurney properly, put them in and safely take them to there destination.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal operation.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation routes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any concerns.
- Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, respectful, and attentive to passenger needs.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g.,
driver license, commercial driver’s license). - Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or paratransit services.
- Experience with limousine or heavy vehicle operation is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with passengers and team members effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for passenger assistance or cargo handling.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to ensure safety and reliability.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with traffic laws.
- Prior experience in school bus driving or commercial driving is desirable but not required. This role is vital in providing essential transportation services within the community while ensuring passenger safety and comfort at all times.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
