What are the responsibilities and job description for the Courier position at ELITE METHOD FREIGHT LLC?
Performs package delivery and pick up services.
Operates vehicle and optimizes the delivery route considering priorities and traffic patterns. Operates and drives vehicles for pick-up and delivery of various goods in a polite, resourceful, professional, safe and secure manner.
Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping by sorting cargo set for delivery.
Provide customer service while delivering over established routes. Inspect and maintain vehicle and equipment to ensure that they are in proper working condition.
Communicate with central dispatch using mobile communications.
Obey traffic laws and follow organization’s transportation procedures.
Ensure packages are delivered and entered accurately.
Provide excellent customer service and responds to customer’s requests.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Must be able to work Monday through Friday, and some weekends based on operational needs.
Must have a consistently positive attitude and be able to work well with customers and other employees.
Must be capable of carrying and stocking a variety of products including boxes that are approximately 50 lbs. and be capable of lifting at least 75 lbs.
Must be creative and self-motivated to solve problems as they arise.
Must have excellent communication skills and a true desire to provide our customers the highest level of service.
Must have a professional appearance and conduct yourself in a professional manner.
Must be flexible, adaptable and willing to handle a variety of responsibilities.
Must be reliable and dependable.
Previous customer service and/or delivery experience is preferred but not required.
Salary : $16
